The Necromancer and his Servant
A necromancer, someone who uses their powers bestowed upon them to revive the dead. Many would see this as a blessing, but reallity could’t be further from the truth. Those who are “blessed” with this gift are forever followed by the visions of ghosts. One of these poor bastards is named Andrzej – a young sorcerer trying his best to forget his past and live a normal life in the world of humans. He drowns in nicotine to dull the pesky voices of the dead, but don’t feel too bad for him, for as you will soon find out, he doesn’t deserve a sliver of your empathy.

A great improvement over time
Nowadays, it is really hard if not almost impossible to find a story or a book written by an actual person.
In this regard, I would really like to encourage people to read more stories by actual human beings that do their best such as Vanya. It is evident that the book starts off on a more “amateur” note, but you can quickly grasp through the main idea and get to see how the author’s wordings and plot get better over time.
I like how dark the world is, promoting a more eerie feeling when you are reading by reminding you of a “Souls-like” game. I sincerely enjoyed skimming through this short story!

A surprisingly great find!
Got this short story recommended to me through kindle unlimited and decided to give it a go, albeit being sceptical at first. The first thing I would like to note is that the world building itself was very intriguing and the plot itself was captivating. I found myself thoroughly enjoying my way through this short 90ish page story. Andrzej as a character was well written with well established demeanor and flaws. The language used and writing style of the author was surprisingly eloquent for a newcomer to the world of writing. Was overall very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ‘Necromancer and his servant’ short story and subsequently bought the digital book to support the author (and it was on sale 😅). Really looking forward to any upcoming stories that would follow up this prequel book.

Quick-paced and exciting
This short story is just amazing (if you are lover of dark fantasy)!!! But be warned, it is not for the faint of heart – there are some graphic scenes. However, I really enjoyed that the author was moving the action quickly and to the point. I am looking forward to reading more stories from her!
